Mac was born on September 10, 2004...a VERY healthy boy! He hit all of his milestones up until about 18 months where we noticed his walking was not ‘quite right’. After a ton of therapy and a year of misdiagnosis from age 20 months to almost 3 years...Mac had an MRI which revealed a change in the white matter of his brain.
On August 3, 2007 – Mac was diagnosed with Late Infantile MLD – Metachromatic Leukodystrophy – there is no cure, there is no treatment.
We were told to help Mac stay comfortable...which we do – we also help him to LIVE LIKE A CHAMPION every day and we are honored to be his parents and Colin is honored to be his brother.
